Hunting the Hunter

Heartening scenes of US marines’ beating

Some times a hunter has been chalking out a long-term plan for a big hunt when suddenly his target appears before him. And no hunter will be so foolish to lose such a chance. Yes. Afghan Mujahideen were waiting for melting of snow, opening of mountainous routes and weather suitable for waging Jihad against the rogue US forces and their European allies. Strategy was being chalked out for the purpose. Views were being exchanged. Groups were being formed. Contacts were being made. Jihadi activities were being started when Allah helped His servants and brought the Americans towards them.

The story goes that the rogue Americans got information that Mujahideen were re-organizing themselves in Gardez and its suburbs. Over-confident of their prowess US soldiers started swarming the area. The Mujahideen “reluctantly” took up their arms to secure the windfall. Fragments of two US helicopters and a warplane were scattered in the sky with the first raising of the slogan of Allah is great. The area’s people were witnessing the destruction of these state-of the-art helicopters and warplane. So, this time the Americans were admitting that it was an activity of the Mujahideen. Otherwise many warplanes and helicopters had been destroyed in the Afghan conflict but every time they claimed these planes crashed due to some technical faults. Thus, averting humiliation in the eyes of the world. But this time the action was so sudden and swift that at first the Americans could not ascertain what had happened to them.

For their face- saving they claimed that there were 3,500 Mujahideen present in the area and that they had martyred 500 of them on the very first day. The media was screening the boxes of US soldiers’ bodies but it did not show even five bodies of martyred Mujahideen. Rather they could not even pinpoint the hideouts of the “dead” Mujahideen. According to the reports collected through special sources, only four Mujahideen were martyred in the battle and a few more were injured. However, they were removed to safer places without any problem. In the beginning of the clash, the Mujahideen posed that they were fleeing. The Americans, happy over their “victory”, started chasing them. That was what the Mujahideen wanted. They took them to the narrow passes in the fountains from where the enemy could not escape. And there the Mujahideen arrested 32 US soldiers alive. Of them two were commissioned officers. Afraid of death these hired soldiers surrendered on the very first warning. Others took to their heels. Until now the suspected hideouts of Mujahideen were being bombarded incessantly. But as the arrest of the US soldiers was confirmed, the air strikes were immediately stopped lest the captured marines were hit.

In the clash of Gardez, the Mujahideen scattered in the area in small groups for a guerrilla war. The region had been helpful to the Mujahideen in the past too.

Big convoys of Russian forces would come to the area in eastern Afghanistan only to go astray in the narrow and complex passages of Koh Arma. At the end there would be rotten bodies of the soldiers or piles of military equipment and food left by them as booty for the Mujahideen. The village of renowned commander Jalaluddin Haqqani is 25 kilometers from Gardez City. All the tribes living in the area are practically helping the Mujahideen. These people had never accepted the servitude of the Kufr (disbelievers as a whole). In its vicinity, between Satta Kund and Matta Cheena, the Mujahideen successfully downed American helicopters.

It may be mentioned some US commandos were patrolling and photographing the graves of the martyred Mujahideen in Matta Cheena area. When a 15-year-old Afghan boy spotted them, he, in a rush of blood, raced to his house, brought his gun and started firing on them. As a result of it one commando and his Afghan companion were killed while another commando was seriously injured. The dead American was recognized as the first US casualty in the Afghan war, though the Mujahideen had earlier killed scores of American soldiers. The same day a 15-year-old Christian US pilot had crashed his plane into a 42-storey building in the US in protest against America and in support of the Muslim victims. The same day three more planes were crashed into various buildings in the United States. But Washington blacked out the news from the world media. And the papers published the news of crash of only one plane. .....Continue
