Assalamualaikum to all,
I supposed that this is the first time I am writing in this shared column of
ours. All the while, it is much more fun to be the reader rather than the
participant. I guess it's simply due to my personal reservation.
Looking at some of the mails within, often we get carried away between
emotion of events and forget the guidance of the Prophet.I ask myself, in
the situation what would Prophet Muhammad have done or more importantly be
doing now. The stories of the pilgrimage in the time of the Quarish give us
an example of how the prophet handled the issue of holy and religious sites.
Whether we like it or now Jerusalem contains sites holy to every
monotheistic religion. Islam, Christianity and Jews all of who are
descendents of Ibrahim. The real tragedy of Palestine is about power by
rival groups who are afraid that their influence will be diminished is
"Peace Breaks Out". I cannot see the issue as a religious one. I see it as a
"power issue" in which young children are needlessly caught up in and suffer
because adults see children as perfect Television Material. Those of us who
have the ability to think should do so and see what is really happening on
both sides of this tragedy. This is not Jihad. This is simply war about
power and land in which the innocents suffer while "leaders" on both sides
put the lives of their people on the line to entrench their own power.
In the course of an action, one needs to know the cause. Then react,
provided via the effective way and most importantly the right approach.
We claim ourselves the followers of the Prophet [pbuh]. Do we in the first
instance ever take a ponder what exactly that Muhammad pursued for?
God reminded the Quraish to analyze their attitude in several surahs, among
others:
SURAH 2 ALBAQARAH AYAT 170:
berdusta.
Why don't we revert to the contents of the Holy Quran. The translation is
made available everwhere. We should not just read only the arabics but
remain unknown of its meanings. Isn't that the same as the parrot out there?
Hoping that more would be reading the Quran with understanding.
One more thing, don't waste time repling mails for the sake of writing when
you know that it does not carry any weight. We should have realized that we
are grown ups.
Walk in Peace and have a wonderful day
SALAM///SOLIHIN
