A) Gathering at Bukit Aman: 14 July (by GMI)

A second candlelight vigil for Jonah and Fuad, students arrested under the ISA and whose whereabouts are unknown. Note that the Abolish ISA movement also plans a gathering on July 14 (Saturday at Bukit Aman with balloons—the Tasik entrance) Time: 6 –7 pm.

B) Candlelight Vigil Gathering : 12 July (by Friend of Jonah and student)

The July 12 candlelight vigil is proposed on the anniversary of the arrest of our friend, Jonah was arrested on July 5.

Time: 8.30 pm to 9.30pm
Place: Police Station Dang Wangi a Jalan Stadium. (the place of arrest)

Date: July 12, Thursday nite

There is ample car park space at the stadium grounds. The road may be pretty dark. Bring a couple of friends with you. Torch lights may be a good idea. We will stand on the curb facing the gate of the station. Do not stand too near the edge of the curb. Please beware of motorbike riders who could be police hooligans who may pass on their bikes and throw things onto the crowd. Bring songs.

We are gathering in peace and standing in vigil in solidarity with students harassed under the UUCA and related laws as well as in solidarity with Jonah and Fuad. See you there!
